First just want to say THANK YOU to all who participated last night in the Tates Creek Time Trial. We had 18 riders and have had 35 total riders at the four events. What a great night as well, finally got a break from the heat! And if you didn't show up you missed the "Over the Hill" black icing cake for our very old...I mean own, Rob Adams!

Just want to apologize for the confusion on the turn around. This month we moved the start near the ferry and thus the turnaround was in a new location. The actual turnaround was 6.3 miles from the start for a total distance of 12.6-miles. Most turned around approximately 0.15-miles farther down the road, thus adding on an additional 0.3-miles to the route. Therefore, the finishing results were based upon the average speed of the participant. The riders who only rode 12.6 miles had the times adjusted based upon average speed to get a final time.

Last night we had Doug Shadwell and Bena Halecky as the top male/female. Rob Adams and Bena Halecky hold the top spots in the series. The top male/female of the time trial series will recieve a $75 gift certificate to Swim Bike Run of Kentucky.  The top male/female of the King of the Hill Challenge will also recieve gift certificates to SBR so everyone show up next month, you never know what may happen as both series are very tight right now!

Below are the results from last night and the overall standings for the time trial series. If you see any descrepancies, please email jessefrost23@hotmail.com

TUESDAY NIGHT TIME TRIAL
The next time trial will be held on Tuesday August 17, on the East (Richmond) side of the Valley View Ferry along Tates Creek Road. The washed out pavement has been replaced so the start of the ride will be moved to the Valley View Baptist Church, approximately 0.6-miles east of the ferry to avoid the congestion and subdivisions near Richmond. The first rider will begin sharply at 6:30pm and riders will race out 6.25 miles before turning around and racing back toward the start for a distance of 12.5-miles. Fast out and back course. Please be at the start no later than 6:15pm in order to register.

Parking is available at the Marble Creek Baptist Church at 3801 Union Mill Road. This is a short ride across the ferry to the start. We do NOT have permission to park at the Valley View Church so please plan to ride out or park at the Marble Creek Baptist Church.

Also, plan to stick around after the event for some socializing with fellow BTC members. John Dickenson lives next to the Marble Creek Church and has graciously offered up his beautiful deck for our use. For more information regarding this event contact jessefrost23@hotmail.com.
